Paul Paterson is an Edinburgh based guitarist who is widely recognized as one of Scotland's leading gypsy jazz players.
He has played professionally since the age of 18 and specializes in the authentic Django Reinhardt sound of the 1930s.

Paul is accompanied by his spiritual and musical partner, Charlotte Paterson on double bass.
The pair live out their adventures, dressing in vintage fashion, and touring the world sharing the music of early jazz pioneers,
Django Reinhardt, Oscar Alemán, Charlie Christian, and Eddie Lang.

They are lucky enough to attract the very best musicians to join them on their musical journeys.

Paul received critical acclaim playing the part of his hero, Django Reinhardt, in the stage production
"Playing Django" at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018.

Charlotte Paterson is also a renowned tattoo artist who works under the name of Venus Flytrap.
